CHALLENGE STADIUM 20th October

A night of colourful celebration, worship and prayer for the nations and their leaders. Featuring the Army and WA Police Pipe Bands. Wear your National Costumes, bring a torch and let your light shine. Please note Parking at Challenge Stadium will be free. There will also be an opportunity to contribute to the costs. SHINE ASSEMBLY DAYTIME 21st & 22nd October

Why come to the Shine Day sessions?

In these day time sessions will have some extended time of waiting together on the Lord, in worship and prayer – and in unity, because we know this brings a commanded blessing from the Lord.

Seasoned Christian leaders from different nations will share exciting testimonies of what is happening in their area and there will be a choice of breakout sessions in the afternoons.

The team will include:

  • Ian Cole from the World Prayer Centre in the UK
  • Brian Mills from UK, respected international leader and director of the Interprayer International Partnership
  • Brian Pickering, The Australian Prayer Network
  • Ben Gray is the apostolic leader of CHI - Ministries – a non-denominational network of Kingdom Ministry, Strategic Prayer and Global Missions.
  • Shirani Wikramanata a leader in intercession from Sri Lanka
  • Pastor Gireva Gireva from Papua New Guinea
  • Lana Heightley from USA, who has vast experience in the nations and in leading Women With a Mission.
  • Janet Mangum from USA, Transformation Director for Aglow International
  • Jenny Hagger, Australian House of Prayer for All Nations, Adelaide.

YOUNG AMBASSADORS (8-18)

Globally, children's prayer movements are increasing. We anticipate this gathering of young prayer ambassadors will strengthen the children's prayer networks in Western Australia and encourage those others who attend from out of state. Schools Ambassadors on Friday & Church Ambassadors on Saturday. Students must bring a packed lunch. To Book Click Here

CONVERGE WEEK 24th - 30th October

Converge is an exciting 24/7 prayer week held in the heart of Perth during CHOGM. A complete program will be available here soon. It's going to be an amazing time in our City, a rare opportunity as different denominations gather to pray for CHOGM and the nations. Converge week will be held at Wesley Church conveniently located close to Perth Train station.

There has been an explosion of prayer in the Marketplace in Perth. Business prayer Leaders will host prayer sessions daily during Converge Week from 7am-9am. For more information Click Here

A Special morning to end Converge, celebrating the commonwealth theme for the Year "Women as Agents of Change".

CELEBRATION OF THE NATIONS 30th October

5pm Sunday 30th October at St George's Cathedral concludes CHOGM with a Celebration of the Nations, with thanksgiving, prayer, praise and scripture, combined with music dance and song from the five regions of the commonwealth.

 

Celebration of the Nations is a colourful service to mark the end of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. With young nationals of the Commonwealth countries bearing their flags, a harpist and tenor from Malta, drummers from Trinidad, cello, saxophone, dance, and St George’s Cathedral Consort, the elements combine to celebrate both the unity and the diversity of the nations. 6PR’s Graham Mabury preaches. The Archbishop of Perth presides.
